They always do! Tom you know that!
Well good for you...
BTW I'd like to know more about the dedicated website that goes with the solution (location? cdn? cost? self-hosted package? etc...)
Bravo to Martin and Tim!

Of course now we have to wait again for something we all want. ;)
How is this behaving when it comes to resources? I did experiment with webrtc, and can get this to work perfectly with the browser input and some virtual audio, but when it comes to processing power, on a quad core i7 it takes about 15% of cpu to get a back and forth connection from vMix to vMix. This is on a hyperthreading cpu so it is more like 30% per connection, making 3 connections the max with very little to spare left for everything else. So if you are talking about getting 8 people into a show in good quality with this fantastic low latency, I bet it is behaving much lighter on the resources than browser inputs connecting with webrtc?
Also, this is great because the audio part is taken care of, on my testing setup 3 persons would already be a problem to get a mix-minus setup for with only A and B buses, though it could be done externally of course.

admin wrote:I think it is early days for WebRTC but it is certainly something I am interested in integrating once the software and browser support becomes a bit more stable.
The key thing to remember though is the difficulty in setting up a workable audio setup from a single PC. Without an external mixer it becomes difficult to route the audio without feedback etc.
If you guys could perhaps discuss amongst yourselves and even build a graphical schematic of what video sources you would want sent to the caller and what audio sources would be needed I can take it from there!
Regards,
Martin vMix On the eve of the release of vMix 19, possibly the best version yet, it interesting to go back to where this started. Well done, Martin!

@ vedranius
vMix Call was introduced several years ago. It uses WebRTC.
