For one broadcast, I'd like to create a trigger that when I click on a certain video to end the broadcast it does the following:

1. Mutes the main feed.
2. Plays said video.
3. At the END of the video, ENDS the live stream.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I guess this can be done with vMix directly (but I'm not an expert with triggers).

BTW you can do it for sure with vMixUTC simply by creating a "button" that will send a sequence of commands to vMix API. (You must know your final video duration to insert a "timer" with the same duration in the commands list just before you stop the stream)

Bien à toi
Guillaume

Yes Doggy (according to his vMix licence)

Also this can be done by a simple webpage with a javascript that sends API commands to vMix

@ jhill0224

Quickest and easiest is with the "Triggers" feature of said Input...

Played with triggers this weekend... not a success. Plan to dedicate some time tomorrow to continuing.

Finally got it figured out and working as I wanted. First live test, audio from main feed kept going. Discovered I had it manually selected under the feed. Since then I unselected it, put it on BusA, and opening and closing bumper's to BusB.

There was a weird glitch on the live test, that has not replicated itself in todays test. The script for "end stream" did not work. So I was unsure if maybe there was a issue with me having both youtube and facebook. So did a youtube test first, ended correctly. Then added back facebook, ended correctly. So I assume this was a one time glitch.

Thanks for all the help guys!

One other scripting question. Has anyone come across a script that when you transition to that camera (input) it turns titles (lower 3rds) off regardless of it being checked on the input?

You simply use a trigger on the transition to turn overlays off. Please read up on triggers in the help files and experiment with using them. You will find the combination that will work for you.

Worked fine once applied correctly. Only issues is now the audio does not transition between cameras. BUt I think that is more of how it was set up for us. Working on that now.
