I searched for this and found nothing. I am inputting a 1080p signal into an Intensity Pro 4K card, and it shows up in BM Express. When trying to add it to vMix, I get an error. Im using vMix HD 18.0.0.59 and get an access denied error (exception from hresult) I have even tried setting my master frame rate to NTSC 60p (which I can't use anyway).
I am coming out of an Extron XTP R HDMI at 1080p/60, and IT says thats all it will do.
Update: it passes audio, but not video!
Thank you Hank

What frame rates have you tried in vMix?

tried every one of the 15 available to me. Changed the native res (master frame rate) of vMix to 60p too - oh, said that.
Extron says the receiver can do other frame rates by changing the EDID, so if I can find their programmer, I'll try that too.

I had something similar happen with using a Paralink Triton. It was converting 720p/59.94 from my camera to something my capture device didn't like. I was getting an input error message from vMix. I took the Triton out of the chain to make sure it was the cause. The Triton couldn't be adjusted but the capture device could. That solved the issue.

the reason for the Intensity Pro 4K card was to capture at 60P, the output of the Extron box. It (the card) does in its own app - BM Media Express, BUT vMix can't seem to ingest it.
The chain is: a laptop feeds an Extron matrix switch, which feeds monitors, projectors and (theoretically) my BM-IP4K card (for recording).
Interestingly, my Atlona test monitor can read the 1080/60P audio and video, but my BM VideoAssist can only see the video with no audio. And if I inject a VGA signal instead of an HDMI, the BM Videoassist sees and hears nothing.
I may have to get a Plan B...for the laptop ingest.

I have older card, Intensity Pro, and I capture from camera 1080p and get it in vMix without any problems. Set everything in BMD settings in Control panel and match it with output from camera and than just in vMix add input with the same settings. Never any problems.

Try selecting RGB32 colorspace, that's what I have to do when using my IP4K with computer sources.

If I understood it well you have
laptop hdmi > Extron Tx > CAT6 > Extron Rx > HDMI input BM4K
Can you get a signal in the videoassist if you change the resolution on the origin laptop to 1920x1080 30Hz for example?

I'm 99% sure selecting the RGB colorspace when adding the input will solve your problems, like Thremir mentioned. I've had the same problem with my card and I generally have to do it no matter what signal I input.

I will try playing with the color space tomorrow. As far as the laptop; it is a unit assigned by the IT department and does not go nearly that high...however I put a digital signage player on as an HDMI source (1081/60p) with the same negative result - played on my Atlona, no audio on my VideoAssist, worked in BM Media Express, and no video in vMix. Thanks
