Hi everyone.
Is it possible, within the vMix platform to have a video playing at the same time as a separate music track? In other words, the separate music track would be playing "Under" the video. And not built into the video.
I have a short 15 second intro video that I want to use to open each show. And I have a long music track that I want to play under the video. When that video ends, I want the music audio to to continue under the next shot which is a live camera intro as I introduce this episode's topic.
Normally, in a program like Adobe Premiere, I could just extend the audio under the next clip. Not sure how I can do the same in vMix.
Perhaps a trigger might be one way to do it. I guess I could split the music track -- and somehow get the remaining music to play under the live video (not sure if this is possible within the vMix Platform.....) Otherwise I suppose I could do it with an external mixer -- but I'd like to automate as much of the opening as possible.
Thanks for any thought about this!

Yes. Start the audio input and the video input at the same time. You can run the audio without it needing to be in the PGM window. Make sure you have turned off mix audio on transition and the the audio on the video track. Turn off audio in the other video you want to play. Put your next video into the Preview window and transition as required. You can also play around with shortcuts and triggers to automate the workflow.

Thanks Sports and Ask.
That seems to be working. I'm taking advantage os the Shortcuts -- including the Advanced tab.
I'm finding that since the two sources. (Video is about ten seconds. audio is about 20 seconds) are two different lengths in duration that the advanced tab helps with that.
I assigned the Video to Shortcut key A. And the music to Shotrtcut key M. And then in the advanced tab I tell A to play M at the same time.
A few tweaks to go and I will have it working. Of course will report back here.
Great having such a responsive and helpful group on the vMix forum.
