This should be easy question for some of You :)
I need a tool to manage one PC from another (PC or tablet) that is in the same LAN.
We have a tiny vMix PC, that has a capture card and is connected to a camera. The camera operator will not operate the PC - his headset is connected to the PC and he should be able to hear this PC sound. That's it.
We have second PC in the same LAN I'd like to remotely manage the first one: especially run and configure vMix.
The camera operator needs to hear the sound from tiny vMix PC. So far I tried Windows Remote Desktop and that is the only thing that couldn't work.
I didn't try the Team Viewer - it looks too expensive and I guess there should be simpler programs that could fit my needs.

Team Viewer has a trial/free version for noncommercial use. You could always try it and see if it meets your needs. I use it to provide long distance tech support to some relatives and it works great for that.

RDP (Remote Desktop) should work but you have to go in advance settings and change the the remote audi to play on that computer instead of the connecting computer. I use RDP all the time to manage my SDI hosts from a far -King
