if you can have vmix show up on android and apple besides so you can cast or mirror the screen of your phone or tablet into vmix as an input that would be super useful.

I'm not quite sure what you try to achieve.. You want the PGM output to be casted to an Android or iPhone? Well, I don't know any direct solution to this. It's currently possible if you have a Windows tablet to download the NewTek NDI video monitor application and run that to pick up the feed, but I don't know any Android/iOS solution yet. One could hope that there's a "NDI video monitor"-app upcoming for Android or iOS, which would allow the NDI feed to be sent to the phone.

There are a number of different ways to do this. You can use a Lightning to HDMI adaptor for iPhones and iPads to mirror the screen directly via a HDMI capture card. There looks like there are also ways to do this wirelessly via AirPlay apps. You could try this and then possibly bring it in via Desktop Capture. For Android there are apps available that will mirror your screen and send then screen using RTSP, then you can just add that source directly into vMix.

NewTek Connect Pro supports Apple AirPlay. This allows you to send the screen of your iPad/iPhone device into the application which will turn it into NDI. Then any NDI application can receive it. Attached is a screenshot with my iPad showing up in the bottom right corner. kane attached the following image(s): AirPlay.jpg (369kb) downloaded 44 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments.
