Having a problem with activators,,,,

So I setup up some simple volume faders in the iPad app and for some reason when the activators are active the shortcut doesn't work ...the activator does,,,,can't get them both at the same time.......I think u are making this feature more difficult than it needs to be ...if u would just have the shortcut send same or a different midi signal out I think it would be easier!! Like cubase uses there generic midi commands...there is the in and its opposition midi outs ,that can be changed.......this way all shortcuts can have feedback for apps or motorized faders and whatever....

Hi,
The vMix iPad app doesn't need any shortcuts or activators setup as far as I am aware, it handles everything automatically.
Are you talking about an iPad MIDI app by any chance?
Shortcuts are what you configure to control vMix when a button or control is moved.
Activators are the opposite, these will turn on lights or move motorized faders in response to an event.
For some functions, these are both the same, but it is not always the case.
The flexibility of keeping them separate allows for all sorts of interesting MIDI controller setups.
In any case though you will need to setup a particular volume control in both Shortcuts and Activators, one to receive the volume move
from the MIDI (Shortcuts), the other (Activators) to send any volume moves in vMix back.

When both are on the shortcut does not work only the activator,and I am using lemur to design the app
