Hi, anyone running Avid Media Composer on the same system as Vmix?
Have you had any issues?

Can anyone see any potential problems/conflicts that might occur? Will be running each application on their own - not both at the same time.

Big Thanks,
S

@ Squier

I have no personal experience with Avid, but I would put it in the same or similar league as Adobe, which I run on my system (sometimes concurrently with vMix) without any conflicts to date. I would expect the same with just about any other professional video processing software out there.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

Hope that helps some.

Yes, it does help. Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to keep the PC as clean as possible, so I'm paranoid about installing new additional software.
I have some time before the next gig - I'll give it a go and test it out....
Thanks,
S

I had the same goal when I created my custom vMix PC. I struggled with other software switchers in the past and it always helped to run them as dedicated "Streaming" PC's. But I have found vMix to be so solid I now run the Adobe CC 2017 Suite as well as my hardware interfaces all while running vMix. Obviously you want to keep the PC clean but you don't need to run a bare bones system.
