As someone looking to purchase Vmix , as with any relatively expensive purchase, I check it out first and the 60 day trial is great for that, however I also want to check out the support because without support you can suddenly be left with a very expensive pile of junk code, I got burned when vidblaster switched and didn't support its older ( a few months earlier, versions) I am a little concerned that I see quite a few posts on here with support or even camera questions that haven't been answered by the vmix team. just what is the support like if you have a big live show coming up and suddenly vmix stops working or give weird errors?

I have had amazing support through the forums. But the best support comes from vMix themselves. I had a problem with my setup as I was switching over to vMix. Martin went out of his way to log in and look at my PC, he adjusted a few settings I had changed while troubleshooting and also went back and forth with me reading the Support Logs to find the problem. It ended up being unrelated to the vMix software itself but he found the problem anyway.
I've been pretty active here mostly reading past posts to get new insight on how to utilize the creative possibilities of vMix, but most problems are addressed by the forum members early on and the Admins jump in when they have input to add.
I have used other software in the past and in my personal experience I have found vMix to be super reliable and have received much more support from this community than from the last software solution.

@ cruiseweekTV
I think you will find vMix support to be second to none, especially when it comes to issues with 'known' and/or tested products. On the other hand, when it comes to individual issues with respect to less known or "unconventional" products, I think you can appreciate that, although very important to the user, is much less of a priority to the general community and hence the vMix support team, and those are the types of questions that go unanswered, not that they aren't valid issues, they just might be unique and there is not enough user experience or resources for vMix to test every possible product. vMix has proven itself over and over again in multiple environments, especially when going with the "tried, tested and true" configurations. That's not to say that it's the only way to go, as pushing the envelope is always a good thing, and the Forum is a good place to start, it's just you are best to do a lot of your own research and testing when it comes to such things than to expect immediate support from our mates down under. Just my thoughts.

Then you just wait because vmix works so many different ways. Chances are you could be trying to do something not many are doing then you get no answers or a why do it that way response. If you ask what the manual covers well expect the odd read the fine manual response too.

vMix is very stable, I've never had it crash or get unpredictable. In this respect it feels like a hardware mixer and replay system. Having said that I team it with known sdi technology and a reasonable desktop computing system.

When you email vMix support you talk to the developer himself.
No middleman.
It's the best possible support you can get. And he constantly implements new features as requested by people in this forum.

Have no fear, this is the best software going round and the support is nothing short of outstanding.
Yes, sometimes people don't respond on the forum so just email Martin and he's pretty prompt, or get to know people on here and private message. I'm only too happy to share the love but there are many others who know lots more about it all than me.
This software has been a total game changer for me. I originally bought VB but was so upset with them I did the switch.
Vmix just rocks in every way and gets better with every release!
