This is going to be my new vMix machine!

https://www.amazon.com/g...ages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll let you know how compatible it is next week. I receive it around the 14th.

I'm thinking it should run all my cameras directly, but we'll see. Just because it has 6 USB3.1 ports doesn't mean it will share bandwidth with them all.

Can you afford the model with Thunderbolt port? I would recommend that or ASUS Rog with Thunderbolt.

Special Features: G-Sync | Steel Series Full-color Backlight with Anti-Ghost key + Silver Lining | LAN: Killer Gaming Network E2400 | Wireless: Killer N1535 Combo | True Color Technology | Thunderbolt Port

This has it!
I will likely only be using it for adding 2 additional displays via displayport.

Here is a direct MSI product link.

Sorry missed that spec when I a quick look of the Amazon link.
It should work well. but if had the newer Nvidia GFX instead of M it would be even better
hopefully the 1080 and 1060 etc models come down in price soon nearly $3000 or over here in Australia.

That would be nice, but I suspect this will be a monster even with the 970M.

Got the new laptop this morning! It is truly a monster!
Love the larger display, that appears very color accurate. It's beautiful!
It's also very fast from what I've seen so far.

It's replacing the laptop mentioned above, with a ChrisPC windows experience score of
7.9, 7.9,*6.3, 9.9, 8.2

The new Gaming laptop scores as follows
8.2, 8.2, 8.6, 9.9,*8.1

My desktop, a xeon x5680 on an ASUS P6T deluxe v2 Mobo, and 18G ram, Toshiba 256G SSD, and Geforce GTX 970
8.4, 8.4, 9.0, 9.9,*7.3

The performance tests in Chris PC, in order are...

Processor
Memory
Graphics
Gaming Graphics
Primary Hard disk

* = base score

I haven't had the chance yet to setup vMix, but hopefully soon!
thanks 1 user thanked madness for this useful post.

Playing with vMix on this monster tonight!

Running vMix HD with 720p 29.97fps output, The built in webcam @ 1080i 29.97fps MJPG input, Logitech c920 @1080p 29.97fps MJPG, Logitech c270 @ 720p 29.97fps RGB24, Microsoft LifeCam Studio @ 1080p 29.97 YUY2, Logitech c930e @ 1080p 29.97fps MJPG, and finally, my Amcrest Pro HD 1080p PTZ @1080p RTSP stream.

Connected a second 1080p monitor via HDMI.

The result?

All cameras running smoothly using 4 of the 6 USB3 ports, and the Amcrest is relayed via wifi to the laptop, not direct connection. I have my OtsAV TV broadcaster software running in the background on the machine as well, delivering 720p video with audio out.

The CPU is running at 3.1GHz @ around 75% Utilization.

vMix is running 29-31fps, 30ms, vMix CPU <45% Total <65%.

Seems this system, although scoring slightly less in chrisPC Win Experience, can do a better job than my desktop system running the Xeon processor.

It's been running the OtsAV software all day with more video stability than I've had with my desktop too!

This system looks to be a great investment for me. I'm loving it!

Highly recommend it!

Someone might find this interesting about this laptop also.

It apparently has 2 PCIe M.2 slots, and 2 SATA M.2 slots so you can run a RAID SSD setup.

Also, the NVidia Graphics is a replaceable card in the unit. Thus, it could eventually be upgraded to the 1080M
