Hi,

is it somehow to achieve the following workflow with one Vmix machine?

I would love to have a virtual set or a multiview window that consists of a looping background and video feeds. One should be the program mix/live camera switching and the other one should be replays.

I also would love to have the in/out-transition/zoom from the program to the this virtual set/multiview.

The problem is that it's not possible to switch program while this virtual set is the program. I don't want to show just one single camera input in this setup.

The next thing is: How can I automate this? I'm most of the time a single mix and replay operator and when I start a replay, the program will do transition to the replay channel and play the replay, which means that there is no virtual set involved. I could configure the multiview of one replay channels to look like this, but then there is no zoom in/out transition from the program the replay window possible.

And another thing:

Is there an easier way to configure the zoomed in virtual set to match the designated camera input(s) pixel by pixel, besides trial and error?

I hope someone can help me.

Regards,
Patrick

No ideas how to achieve this or didn't I explain it good enough?

@ Rinsky

I think some of what you describe would only be possible with 2 PCs running vMix and using NDI, although I'm not sure how the "Merge zoom" effect might work in that scenario...
(you essentially need two mixers)

I would rather say that the program mix within the virtual set is more of a problem, how would I set up 2 PCs to work with that virtual set, live program + replays. What's the best way to achieve this?
