Looking for improvement in performance I cloned the hard drive to a 7200rpm version and swapped the drives. Everything started up and I re-entered the code key for vMix.
Loaded the preset and everything looked ok.
Hit the record button and got an error message To the effect that no codec was specified? Check d the record settings and the MJPEG option was gone?
Re -install the software?

Uninstalled the program then reinstalled from the download folder. All is good.
