We have bought a Theta S, really cool camera. But unfortunately there is one vMix issue with its driver.

It is possible to connect the Theta S via USB, and have it visible as a webcam when using its driver (called UVCBlender). Apps such as Wirecast and OBS can easily have a camera shot with this Camera, and stream it as 360 video to for example YouTube (although the video quality is not much to cheer about). But vMix does not accept this camera, see attached screen shot.

If there is an easy fix to support the Theta S driver that would be nice (not critical, but fun and I think popular).

Theta S can also output better quality via HDMI, but in "dual fishey" format. This format has to be stiched into "equirectangular" format in order to be live streamed. And AFAIK there are no available apps for that yet. It is perhaps too early (given the novelty of 360 and no clear standards) to ask that vMix would do that. But I think it would be possible. On the other hand other cameras/devices with much better quality are available and announced. So a driver fix would suffice.

For more (developer) info, see THETA Unofficial guide and in its Community.
