Hi All,

I have been having an issue with vMix I can't seem to fix. I am using vMix Pro and basically only using it for the replay capabilities in this instance. I am using a HPZ440 with an nVidia GTX950 and an original Decklink Quad (not Quad2). I am inclined to think this may be a hardware issue with BMD but not 100% sure.

If I have 4 camera inputs all 1080i and I have an instant replay input, using those 4 inputs and I unplug one of the cameras and then plug it back in a while later it sometimes causes vMix to record black on that channel and to fix it I have to close the instant replay, make a new folder so it starts fresh and then the channel comes back.

The reason I unplug a camera is it is used elsewhere for a different shot then comes back to that location that needs to be recorded.
A work around I have been using that seems to work, is I feed that input from the aux of my switcher, that way the input in constant and not interrupted.

Anyone else having his issue or seen something similar to it?

In summary, cameras must always be plugged in for replay to work correctly.
You can "reset" the camera in vMix 17 by:

1. Stopping recording
2. Open up replay settings and set camera to none and click ok
3. Go back into replay settings, assign the camera again and click ok
4. Restart recording

This will be improved in vMix 18 to automatically reconnect if possible.
