Brand new user here. My question is about using. The recording memory buffer slider.
I have it at 10, recording 720p 30fps using 2 cameras. My question is what is the impact of changing the setting from say 10 to 20 or even to 0? Thanks inadvance for any insight.

@Tom - Welcome to the wonderful world of vMix! Hope I can help on this.
Here's what the vMix 17 Help file says...
Recording Memory Buffer
Set the memory buffer to use when recording video. This can be used to reduce dropped frames on systems with slow hard drives.
The recommended value is 10.
As a long-time vMix user, I have never changed this setting. Never needed to. But if you have a PC with a 5400 RPM HDD as your main/only drive, you may need to give this a try.
Good luck and good streaming!
- Tom

Sinc747 , thank you for responding. But I am wondering if there is a trade off somewhere when the buffer is increased. Where might that be?
