Hello,
I'm completely new to vMix and I'm really loving it. I'd gladly buy Basic HD licence if i mange to get it to work with Skype.
So, I'm' using 7.28.64.101, vMix Trial 17.0.0.111 x64, Windows7 64 bit and my rig is pretty nice (i7/497ok, 16 RAM).
My inputs are Logitech Webcam C510 and Cannon Legria HV40 camcorder via firewire.
My main (only) usage is for Skype meetings where I'l like to use green screen to broadcast my desktop from one of the monitors.
Settings are what seemed somehow logical and I've manged to get mMix Cideo External2 to show in Skype Options under webcam in video options.
When I try video call, video from vMix is still live but it goes off the moment connection is established and only audio remains.
During the call, if I click on icon to turn on the video, video briefly (like 0.2 seconds) appears (on my side only) and fails to stay on.
What am I doing wrong?

Don't have a reference for this but Martin mentioned on the last FTLS that older Skype account seem to fail. Try establishing a new Skype account and see if that makes a difference.
Why? No cluse here. But it's worth a shot.

- Tom Man... May the the force be with you and may the finest girls give it to you... :-) That actually did the trick. When I read your comment, I've reckoned, this is so stupid and so Microsoft-like, it gotta be it. And one Skype account later - we're on!

I tried creating a new skype account and started a session by calling it one of my previous accounts. Skype still refuses to display the vmix video in the call. No problem with Skype simply using my webcams directly. No problem using Zoom with vmix

Hi to all, I find the same problem, it seem to be a skype vicious from other input than webcam and at the actual version of vMix, ext out is't recognized as expected. One partial and temporally solution here is to use a "interpreter" like Splitcam... vMix extout ---> Splitcam ---> Skype there is more cpu and resource usage but for the moment... giulliu

I'll have to check with Mrs. Sinc747 on that one! ;-) You're welcome, nonetheless!

Just posted vMix 17.0.0.112 which should fix the Skype issue. Sorry for the delay on this, it was a challenge to work out what was wrong since it works on some accounts and not others. If this update doesn't solve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling vMix while all other applications are closed, reboot and try again.
Failing that drop us an email!
