This is not necessarily a vMix question...

I am having difficulty installing my old KORG NanoKontrol MIDI control with my ASUS ROG Windows 10 64 laptop. Device Manager keeps saying it is An Unknown USB device or Sound, Video & Game Controller - device not started. I have uninstalled drivers & s/w, deleted registry keys, etc.

Am I fighting a losing battle? If you have one and it is working on your W10 machine, I'd love to know.

Thanks!

- Tom

Perhaps the wrong driver? There's one for nanoKONTROL and one for nanoKONTROL2.

Wish it was that simple... but I'll double check. Thanks.

If you did a fresh install with windows anniversary update, or if you add new hardware after the update, this might be the problem.

Since the update, windows requires all drivers to be signed. Even my blackmagic quad 2 refuses to install without going into developer mode.

Aha! Thank you. I'll try it and report back.

The driver won't be loaded. You might go through the processes and it looks OK, but in reality the driver won't install. so hardware can't be used.
