Why buy the Yuan SC510N4SDI for $525 when the Blackmagic Decklink Duo 2 is $495 for the same 4-port SDI capture?

Hi Tom
I noticed in the specs YUAN card only runs up to 1080 /30 Whereas the BMD card specs up to 1080/60.
I'm not sure if that's important to you? It would be to me,
I don't know the YUAN product, but I do know the BMD cards can be a little precarious in setup etc all sources have to match etc etc but I'd take the chance on them. As I have many times before.
To each his own, just what I noticed off the bat.

we have one SC510N4SDI and some BMD, the new Quad 2 is the last one, the old SC510N4SDI we buy it around a year ago, when a BMD with 4 inputs costs 1k$, but now with the BMD at the same prices you have I/O and not only inputs, work with X99 chipset, 1080p60 and i think that better quality and support. For us the options is clear. BMD

We once bought a Yuan card, and it worked well on an older motherboard. It doesn't work however on x99 motherboards. So now we have a card laying around, which is useless.
I would not recommend this company. It might be cheap to buy, but their drivers and hardware are not updated on a regular basis. I see a capture card as an investment, that could move from pc to pc as you update your rigs. As long as there are no regular driver updates, I would really stay away from Yuan.

When BMD modified the Decklink Quad to the eight inputs/outputs of the new Decklink Quad 2 ($975US), AND, When BMD modified the Decklink Duo to the four inputs/outputs of the new Decklink Duo 2 ($495US), they cut the feet out from under Yuan and Magewell.
So, one Magewell Pro Capture Quad SDI ($899) or one BMD DL Duo 2 ($495)? Duh!
Take two Magewell Pro Capture Quad HDMI cards ($899 each) or take one BMD DL Quad 2 and eight HDMI-to-SDI converters and you've saved big bucks and added the availability of SDI outputs.
Attention Magewell... are you listening?

In magewells defence Tom, I would say their drivers, or really lack of drivers needed are a big plus.
Given the driver situation with BMD products and the card setup etc. The magewell is plug and play. Although I have 3 times the no. of BMD cards than I have magewell.. so I guess im agreeing with you and says something about their pricing ?
