Hello, I'm kind of new at this so hope you can understand me.

I want to proyect videos, but some videos are shown with those black-bars (up and down) and those videos are usually 1280x720px... thing is that when I reproduce those videos with KMPlayer for example, there are no black-bars... but when I use vMix those bars show up. See this screenshot I took:

Screenshot of vMix

Screenshot of KMPlayer

First video is 1280x720px and second video is 720x544px. What should I do to proyect both videos without black-bars on vMix?

Hi Feligo,

Make sure that your output settings are what you want - On your vMix screenshot, in the bottom lefthand corner, it says 480p29,97, which means that the output is 480p (640 × 480 pixels, 4:3 ratio), which is NOT what you want. Therefore - go to the vMix settings in the top righthand corner, and change the resolution of your output to e.g. 720p (1280 x 720 pixels, 16:9 ratio).

This should fix your problem.

Cheers!

Depends on your needs! :-)

If you want HD resolutions (which I assume) and got more than 3 inputs, then you need the vMix HD version, which is $350 USD. If you only have 1-3 inputs, then you can buy the Basic HD version, which is only $60 USD.

Cheers

Go to Settings, tab Display.
Set output aspect ratio to Widescreen.
