NDI 1080 50i over ubiquity nanostation

I used NDI over a ubiquity nanostation m5 last weekend, and it worked great:
We had to do a livestream on a festival, and cover 2 stages, the setup was as following:
1 vmix computer on the first stage, with 5 camera's
1 vmix computer on the second stage, with 5 camera's.
Since we regulary switched between the 2 stages, we sent both over NDI to a central computer.
The central computer recieved a 1080 50i signal from both stages, and switched between them.
One stage was a bit too far for a network cable (150 meter), so we used a ubiquity nanostation. All went fine, no issues at all.
Might be a useful experience for those of you who want to do a similar setup ;)

You are trying interesting stuff. First the drone connected with the 80 meter cable, now the Nanostations. I tried the same thing with a couple of TP Link units but the test distance was so short, it wasn't worth posting.
Watched some of your Tomorrowland 2016 videos. Must have been cool to be at such a huge international music event.

If anyone's interested in covering distances using routers etc I'd suggest looking at open DD-WRT its a firmware replacement that works on many routers. One of the additions it gives is setting the router to bridge mode.. Great for a "roving NDI-cam"

A. While DD-WRT is nice, almost any Wifi Router can be put into bridge mode. Even my Comcast-provided SMC cable modem can be put into bridge mode. They don't call it that. They refer to it as simply turning off the local DHCP service.
