Hello all,

So we are adding a network local vivotek camera to latest version of vmix.
At the beginning, everything is fine, as expected, but after a few minutes (relatively constant), sound from the camera starts to drop until it drops completely after another minute or so. The video seems to be running fine.

I opened the Audio Engine window, and it looks like this:
UserPostedImage
At this point, the audio is long time gone and samples stopped at 9744, the dropped samples continue going up.
As soon as we (re)add the camera, no samples dropped for a few minutes, then again, some samples start to drop and then progressively all are dropped.

I tried adding the camera in both TCP and UDP mode, with different buffer sizes and "Low latency mode".
Using a larger buffer means indeed that the issue will appear later but it is still present. We can't use 10s buffer as:
1) It is not practical
2) For longer broadcasts we will still have the issue

What means this dropped samples indicator and what is the cause? Why does vmix drop samples?

Camera is configured to encode a H264+AAC stream.

Edit: Wanted to add that in VLC that same RTSP stream keeps playing perfectly for almost 20 minutes already and that's over internet connection, not even locally. It seems the issue manifests only in vmix.

Anybody?

Should I fill in a bug report? Where to do that?

I have the same issue with IP camera. All works perfectly with VLC, but in vMix, after a few minutes, audio stutters and then stops completely.
Are there parameters I need to use? Is it a buffering issue?
Thanks
Yossi
