Hey guys. My onsite streaming location is 95% of the time in a bar and not every location is ideal so I wanted to have a backup for my output so the fans can see during our matches. Normally I would just use my external out SDI and run a cable but some locations just don't give me what I need to do that so I wanted a backup solution.
So I figured HDMI over Wifi to the TV. I'm looking at IOGEAR GW3DHDKIT but before I buy anything just wanted to know what you guys have done and what works or doesn't work? This would all be 720 so no need for 1080 right now which is why I thought this might work.

Try something like this...http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Actiontec-ScreenBeam-Wireless-Display-Media-Receiver-Transmitter-Kit-HDMI-WiDi-/201609997687
I also use similar to ingest a camera into vMix....
The IOGEAR looks fine too!

Bought one for a customer, it work, but you have to have the input stay a constant resolution/aspect ratio... If you go from a 16:9 video to 4:3 during productions then the screen goes black for 3-5 seconds.. This happened hooked up to a cable box when a 4:3 commercial came on the screen. Not if it was because the cable box was switching from 1080p to 480p then back to 1080p during commercials... Ended up sending it back and got a geffen instead...worked flawlessly... http://www.gefen.com/kvm/ext-whd-1080p-sr.jsp?prod_id=26335

I might get the Long range just to cover my bases. thank you -King
