Hi!
so i downloaded the trial of v17, our company uses v16 at work and i wanted to try out the NDI capture desktop at home before updating our console at work.

so i got the trial, installed it then i launch desktop capture.

i'm welcomed to this:

whats up with this?
im thinkin, maybe its cuz i havent launcher vmix yet... so i got to launch vmix, things works great as usual... but nothing else but this box of error happens when i launch desktop capture. I even installed the trial on my laptop and i got another error with the desktop capture '' canot locate vmix dll blah blah ''

does this thing actualy work or ?

Hi,

This error appears if the Windows Firewall service has been disabled.
Any reason you can think of as to why this might have happened on that machine? Maybe some 3rd party security software?

firewall was indeed turned off on my machine.

now i can launch the capture device. im trying to send my pc desktop over to my laptop which also runs the current trial version of vmix.
when im in the NDI source, i can see all the inputs of my PC, thumbnails working displaying my backgdrop and google chrome.

when i add one to vmix, the screen stays black. any idea why ?

Blank means the firewall is blocking it, so if you enabled the firewall again when starting vMix
it will check what needs to be configured and prompt for permissions, if this window is dismissed then the firewall
will not be opened, so make sure any prompts are accepted when starting up the capture program.
