Yes, you will need 1x blackmagic card (Intensity Pro, Shuttle, DeckLink etc) for each HD input.
Then you can select each input by going to Add New Input, browsing to the capture tab and selecting a card from the dropdown list.

Note that HD inputs are only supported on the Trial, BasicHD, or HD editions.

Hi
I'm having trouble to connect my Canon LEGRIA HF S10 HD Camcorder.
I don't get any error message, but the picture only gets black.

My other HDV camera Canon HV20 works perfectly.

I'm using HDMI-In via an Intensity card and vMix HDBasic.

Regards,
Tomas

Couple of things to check:

1. Plug in the camera first and make sure it is turned on.
2. Check the HDMI output on the Canon is enabled and set to the correct resolution (1080i)
3. From the Blackmagic Control Panel in the windows control panel make sure both are set to HDMI input.
4. Add the card to vMix using 1920x1080 and PAL 50i/25P (if the camera is PAL) or NTSC 59.94i (if the camera is NTSC) and select HDMI as the input.

Thank you for your quick response. I have connected another HDV camera instead and now everything works perfectly. I will continue to try to figure out why I can't connect the HF S10 later on.
