Yeah, As a SVP13 licensed user, I got an email notice last week. I actually started with Magix Movie Edit Pro 10. Then for a while I moved to Cyberlink PowerDirector, and then moved to SVP13. At least it sounds like we'll see a new update this year from a previous mail received a couple days before the one to the link you provided.

Vegas Pro is my main work software...
I really don't know if this is good or bad news... I saw some recent purchases that made products less professional.
In other hands, if they keep all existing features and implement new with bug fixes, would be very cool

Perhaps MAGIX will phase out Sony Movie Studio products since they are priced in the same range as MAGIX Movie Edit Pro products for the consumer markets, but keep Sony Vegas Pro and Sound Forge Pro as their software targeted to professionals.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to September's release of "14" to see if it is better or worse than 13.

I too am looking forward to Vegas 14 to see what they come up with. I have been using Vegas since it's inception, I currently work in Vegas 50-60 hrs per week. My biggest gripe is them getting the video card integration updated. Vegas is built on Fermi technology so the highest you can go and get good render times is a Nvidia 500 series. (I use 590gtx) If they can bring that part up to "state of the art".....that would be a big win for me.

Upgraded to Vegas Pro 14 suite tonight! Still has a couple bugs I've run across, especially with closing an old project, and working with Titler Pro 4, but The later issue has supposedly been found and is being fixed.
I don't recall this being an option in 13, but I am finding that animating generated masks to be very easy! Looking forward to seeing what all I can accomplish with the extras that come with the suite. The new vegas has several new transitions included, and seems to run a bit smoother than 13 on the same machine as far as the preview output resolution is concerned.
I think I'm going to really like the update!
edit: I just checked VP13, and it has the same media generation animation I thought was new. Never knew it was there! Great feature I never knew I had!
