What MIDI device are you using?
My experience has been that "MIDInoteOn" buttons do not work well for 'toggle' type functions such as "PauseCountdown", that is the dual stage nature of the button acts like two mouse clicks or 'on' and 'off' again with one push which effectively makes the function or command to appear not to work.
Holding the button or key down works (On) until it is released (Off) which is not practical for use in most cases.
I am not sure how the "Suspend/Pause" function works as I have not tried it yet.

Try assigning to a keyboard key first to rule out any other issues.
If that works then the MIDI may not be programmed correctly. For example MIDINoteOn typically uses a value of 127
it is rare to receive MIDINoteOn with a value of 0.

This is why the Find button is so useful as it will detect the last MIDI command, and it should be left with what it detects.

What sort of MIDI device is it? If it is saying MIDINoteOn at the end, then maybe it doesn't implement MIDINoteOff and merely
sends MIDINoteOn with different velocities which is odd but not unheard of with some devices.

Anyway I have located the bug with SuspendCountdown which should be resolved in the next update, sorry about that.
