Hello,

I am doing an upcoming show, and I want to play a animated logo (MOV Alpha Channel) as an overlay.

Then in the triggers I want to do a "On Completion" so as soon as this logo finishes animating, I want to do something else.

But nothing happens when I use "On Completion" when using that file as an overlay.

Can this be fixed in the next release?

AFAIK, it's not a BUG, but by design.
Only active "Inputs" are able to 'Trigger', never 'Overlays'.
You may be able to figure a 'workaround' with the "MultiView" feature, but it might take some creative planning to pull it off effectively.

But there is no technical reason why it shouldn't work? There are so many reasons why this could be used. When we do large productions we need to automate as much as possible considering only 1 person has access to the vMIX interface they can only do so much.

Also, OnCompletion triggering once an overlay finishes shouldn't interfere with anything, so it would be great if it could be implemented :)

While I agree certain features might make sense for a specific or personalized workflow, there may indeed be technical reasons why this particular feature is not available, I do not know and will leave it up to the developers to answer that, but I suspect it has more to do with the overlay channel properties than the actual input so allowing such a trigger might cause undue issues with all uses of that overlay channel which could very quickly throw all your "automation" into chaos.
Just my thoughts, but as indicated, depending on exactly what you want to do, you may be able to achieve your goals with some 'creative' set-ups of "Virtual Inputs" and "MultiViews", it will just take extra time and effort to work out the logistics and proper set-up. Perhaps a bit of a pain in the ass but the point is, what you seek (I believe, for the most part) is already possible.
