Hi Martin, Is it possible to use vMix as a Graphic Machine?! I mean with a DeckLink Studio can i render out the alpha channel from vMix to feed an Atem with the Key/Fill signal?
thank you Alessio

Hi Alessio,
This is possible as long as the DeckLink Studio and the Atem both support sending and receiving alpha channel data. To configure it in vMix the following setting needs to be changed:
Under performance tab set Output Format to ARGB32

Hi Alessio,
I currently use vMix for graphics with an ATEM TVS. I create all my graphics against a solid color background and add them as in input in vMix. I then output via the graphics cards' HDMI Out. This goes into one of the ATEM's HDMI inputs, and the background is keyed out with the Upstream Keyer. Alternately, you could add a Color Input in vMix, create multiple graphics with alpha channel and add them as inputs - could be playlists, or you could use the included titles, and just overlay them (over the Color Input) as needed.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Topbunk
