Hello, I have searched teh forum for same problem but nothing come out.

I'm trying vMix in trial mode, my hardware configuration is:

- CPU Intel 1150 i5-4460
- Svga SAPPHIRE R9 270X 2GB NDA 11.10. GDDR5,HDMI,2xDVI,DP Dual-X,2S
- DDR3 PC1600 8GB
- SSD Hard drive Samsung 850 EVO
- BlackMagic DeckLink Mini Recorder

- S.O. Windows 8.1
- vMix 17.0.0.91 x64

My goal is to switch between a camera in SDI input, some video and image; also record the mixdown in mp4.

So, everything work fine, only a couple of dropped frame in the beginning.
I've tested an hour of recording with fade transition between image and camera input and recording in mp4 work very well.

In the end the only problem came out when I left an image in the output for more than ten second, after this time some "horizontal artifacts" come out and still remain in the recorded file also after other transition.

I upload a test file on Dropbox and log.

Thanks for any answer and sorry for my bad english.

Some other information:

- FFMPEG recording in MP4 x264 AAC works fine, so the problem is with MP4 recording.

- Same software version, input file and recording setting in other laptop pc works fine, obviously...

I don't understand what kind of problem we have, the software is very good and we go on for the purchase but I need to resolve this issue for live recording usage.

If someone could suggest any test or hint for the issue I'll work on it.

Thanks again!!

Hi,

My guess is the problem is due to the hardware MP4 encoder in the AMD graphics card.
To disable this untick the Use Hardware Encoder tick box in the MP4 settings window.

Regards,

Martin

Thanks for the reply, I've tested it now and after 5 minutes of recording everything works fine.
Now I restart the recording for about an hour for check.

Now I go on searching for a solution and made some test on the AMD card, is it a knowed issue or only a my problem?
Teh CPU load is around 20% on static image output and never more than 40% during transition, is better to try to go back on using Hardware Acceleration recording or this condition is fine?

Thanks
