Hi, all you guys and girls!
(sorry for my bad english...I think)

I'm going to broadcast a motorsport event and I would like to make a nice graphic with all the drivers in each heat they are going to race in.

From the marshals I will get a big excel file containing the heat number, starting number, drivers name and name of his/hers race club for EVERY ONE in this competition (18 heats with 6 drivers in every heat)

One row with four columns for each driver in this excel file.
For example:

1,45,Peter Smith,Sweden Racing Club
1,47,Roger Andersson,Fast Speed Racing Club
1....and so on....

I have made a layout in Title Editor with the heat number in the upper left corner, then each driver on their own row with their number, name and club
(three inputs/driver in Title Editor...."HeatNR", "#1", "Name1", "Club1", "#2", "Name2", "Club2", "#3"....and so on)

How can I import this the easiest way so I get ALL six drivers in the same heat at my screen at the same time?
Use an extern software?

Many thank's in advance!

In the past I've knocked up a php script that eats the excel and drives the graphics

You might want to also explore Richard Gatarski's "SmartTitler" (if it is still available for beta testing)

http://forums.vmix.com/d....aspx?g=posts&t=2958

It sounds like it might be right up that alley...

It's still up. You need to export from xls to csv, and do an ansii to utf8 conversation (eg in Notepad).

I have done that, but the problem is that I can not figure out how to use the contens in my csv-file and get it work in Title Editor or SmartTitler because of the differens in format, if I say.

My csv-file looks like this now:

1,1,"John Andersson","Racing Club Sweden"
1,2,"Peter Best","Team Fast"
1,3,"Mikael Svensson","Anderstorp Racing Club"
1,4,(driver no4 in heat 1)
1,5,(driver no5 in heat 1)
1,6,(driver no6 in heat 1)
2,7,(driver no1 in heat 2)
2,8,(driver no2 in heat 2).....and so on....and on.....down to

18,150,"Fredrik Andersson","Mantorp Racing Club"
18,151,"Steve Fast","Sweden Racing Club"

Now SmartTitler says "Title Fields do not match"

I can not import the csv file direct in to Title Editor because there it only changes one row and not six as I need.

Feels like I am stupid at the moment, or stuck in some wrong thinking!

Maby I made my layout in Title Editor in a wrong way.....

Thank you guys for all your help!
