I'm having an issue with capturing the vMix GUI with the NDI desktop capture. The preview, and output images have been either white, or Grey as the color of the vMix background. If I capture an actual desktop, it is OK, but captured as a vMix window, I get this.

No one is having trouble with this?
On the 2 machines I've tried this on, the capture of the vMix GUI window doesn't show the content of the preview and active monitors, where as the capture of the entire display does.

@sinc747, How are you doing vMix grabs on your show, on the same machine?

For GPU intensive applications such as vMix you will need to capture the entire screen.

The reason is the window capture method uses the Windows DWM, which does not have access to all the video in the window if some of it is more directly rendered on the GPU.
thanks 1 user thanked admin for this useful post.
