I'm not complaining about the current titling capabilities, but I would like to see the ability to connect with Titler Pro Live for better animated titles...

I second that, i`ve asking for something like this for a while now, the suggestions to use Microsoft Blend just not working out and not many persons can use it.
We really need a good simple program that can create animated titles and lower thirds, something that can integrate with vMix like vMix Social.

+1
Functionality Microsoft Blend is very limited.
It would be nice to integrate Titler Pro or make a full support Viewport3D in xaml

That is a nice cheap option, but I would love to have CharacterWorks.
This competes with major CG's in features with live data and much more.

http://www.chrworks.com/

vMix could go to a new level with an iVGA type of input with this CG.

We need a high end CG that runs on a separate PC.

Steve. I suggested it as the easiest option, of course, if you use CharacterWorks it would be just amazing.

@ madness, watchfulone, Stealth77

I think this is more a matter of pursuing NewBlueFX and having them build a similar plug-in for vMix than for vMix to provide 'support' for another software's plug-in...

Just my thoughts.

@ stevespaw

As near as I can tell, from their website:
"Characterworks can be used with ... other switching systems via a suitable Blackmagic SDI card"
So there might be some existing options to use it with vMix already...

I think, in serious show video editor(vMix worker) and title editor must be not one people. And in this case we can use any external workstation with title-editor software and send titles to vMix over SDI/HDMI or use desktop capture. Title editor person create title, say to vMix-person - "i am ready" and vMix-person send title input to programm. But - if created title is dynamical (have animation) - may be create possibility to send signal to start title-playing (as tally)

It seems this thread is looking at the problem the wrong way.

There is no problems sending a clean feed to a stand alone titler, and accepting it's output an an input into vmix. This can be done today, and has been an available workflow in vmix for years.

This leads me to believe that the goal of this thread is to have vmix accept the overlays as virtual inputs, but vmix is also able to do that. So, then the request must be that vmix be able to actively connect to the titler and control the animations and titles from the switching interface. And that is where this thread seems to have it backwards.

The switcher is already capable, the third party software needs to be adapted to work within the current context of vmix.

Support for NewBlue Titler Pro Live will be coming to vMix sometime in 2016, so keep an eye out for that!

We need data input that CharacterWorks has. BUT, I have not really looked into the NewBlue app before , even though we use a ton of their stuff in Adobe Suite. I now see that the "advanced edition" supports external data!

I will be checking it out!

Thanks,
Steve

For those of you familiar with coding virtual webcam inputs...
Is it possible to mimic a webcam with an alpha channel?
I recently had purchased the Titler pro 2 Live Express, and was surprised it did not include a virtual camera output that could be used in vMix/Vidblaster/Wirecast/Manycam/etc.

If that is the case, then perhaps a second channel with a luma key would be necessary?

Just trying to understand what is and isn't possible in the virtual webcam driver.

Hi Martin et al

I am in a revamping/retooling mode and was wondering about the progress of integrating New Blu Titler Pro Live 2 with vMix ?

Thanks

Whit

It's already supported through NDI.
The problem is NewBlue only supports NDI in the Broadcast version... $1,499
https://www.newbluefx.co...ts/titler-live/broadcast

I own a license to the express version, and quite honestly, I won't spend that kind of money on a program that crashes so easily on such a low end version. I'll continue to use desktop capture to grab the preview screen.

Yea I have Titler Pro Live 2, and that works with Wirecast, but I've switched over to Vmix. The problem is that NDI compatibility over at Titler Pro requires more $$. Any update on the progress of vmix being natively compatible with Titler Pro?

It is my impression that the NDI support is all the vMix support we'll be getting on that subject.
Not quite what I was hoping for either, but I can make it work with Desktop capture of the preview screen in the background.

In my opinion, you would be correct in the fact that you could only input as one overlay from Titler pro live.

Any pricing info on the VisCG stuff?
