My goal is to open my ONVIF IP x.264 security cam and stream it to FMLE (virtual webcam). End goal is to access my IP cam with a program that can only open webcam devices.
I can successfully open a stream to VLC using this address: rtsp://admin:admin@192.168.1.100:80/0
If I try to AddIinput->Stream in vMix with this address it comes back with a "401 Unauthorized" error.
How can I successfully open my ONVIF cam in vMix?
(I have successfully vMix streamed ONVIF secondary JPG channel out to FMLE using web address, but that is not my goal)

Check web-interface of you cam - may be exist option "Enable anonymouse view" ? Or around - update vMix to 17 with NDI, install NewTek NDI Tools - it is install NDI-Output plugin for VLC, setup VLC to output video to NDI, open cam in VLC and get NDI source in vMix

This format is somewhat working for me... rtsp://[username]:[password]@192.168.1.153:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&proto=Onvif Unfortunately, I seem to only get 1 frame per 15 seconds or so...

Now it doesn't require user/password in RTSP address. vMix would not present rtsp://admin:admin@192.168.1.100:80/0 correctly to my IP cam. vMix would present rtsp://192.168.1.100:80/0 correctly to my IP cam and it works now! I can see video of IP cam in vMix. I then setup "External" gear settings to match frame rate / Output size to match IP cam. Then clicking on "External" making it turn red, and vMix virtual webcam came to life. I had a problem with my video program opening vMix virtual webcam saying "size not defined". However, an older version of this video program did not check for size and works fine. Also VLC works fine opening vMix virtual webcam too. Thanks for nudging me in right direction!

Try another resolution on External output - may be your video program not support "native" resolution of IP-cam

They are all recognized in SharpCap 2.7, but none in SharpCap 2.8/2.9. The SharpCap error box states: Quote:Camera could not be started Cannot allocate memory because no size has been set I think vMix is not sending all the required information to its External (virtual webcam).
