My setup is a 1080p50 production with 4 1080i50 camera inputs for instant replay.

When I play the instant replays within Vmix' instant replay controller, it uses Bob deinterlacer to play them smooth.

But when I export a clip from my instant replay playlist and want to integrate it as a normal input, then it doesn't use Bob, but I can choose Blend in the input settings, which looks terrible.

Is there a way to play the instant replay .mpg files with bob deinterlacer when using them as a normal input?

Yes, add *.mpg to the list of FFMPEG formats in Settings -> Decoders
It will then use the same deinterlacer as instant replay.

Thanks for your reply, but it still looks very distortet.

And now there is no option to choose blend in the input settings, but blend seems to be always active.

I'll send you a file, to test it.

Looks like FFMPEG is not automatically detecting it as interlaced for some reason.
When going to Add Input -> Video you will need to tick the Interlaced checkbox manually.

Great! That solved the problem if I go to "add Input" and add only one video, butit doesn't work if I want to add multiple videos at the same time in a list (even if I tick the Interlaced checkbox) or add the with drag and drop.

Could you please add a checkbox for Bob deinterlacing for lists and single video inputs in the Input settings, just like the checkbox for Blend?

I can confirm the List input "Selected video is interlaced" checkbox works as expected.
When adding a list with that test video, I can see interlacing when turned off and playback that matches instant replay when it is checked.

Ah ok, I finally figured it out. I didn't know that I have to click every video in the list and check "video is interlaced" for each of them.

The only thing that I am missing is the option to select all of them at the same time and check "video is interlaced" when adding a new list input.

But it's already possible to mark als videos and check "interlaced" when editing the list input.

And could you also add transitions for lists, just like the transitions from instant replay?
