Im thinking of buy a new PC to run with vMix
Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz Asus X99-A EVGA GeForce GTX960 SC ACX 2.0 4GB 16GB or 32GB DDR4 240 GB SSD (OS) 480 GB SSD (Recording)
To capture already have: BlackMagic Design: DeckLink Quad 2
I want to mix about 4 HD cameras + recording + replay + overlay graphics
This configuration seems appropriate?
I must improve or reduce some resource?
Thanks!!

I am building a similar system. You might want to consider the 5930 processor which has 40 lanes compared to 28 in the 5820. My System Asus X99 Deluxe i7 5930 32 GB Ram 2x250Gb SSD in Raid 1 for OS 1x M2 512Gb SSD nVidia 760 (will upgrade to new nVidia 1070 when available)
I am the testing and burn in stage.

Maximus,
I'm just getting ready to put $$ into a new rig. Any update on your results?
Are either of you using an internal encoder card, or are you using external?

Hi, Sorry for the late response, I am only now seeing your post. I have built the system and done extensive testing and so far all seems well. I initially had rendering issues but I moved my capture card (Decklink Quad) from slot 2 to slot 3 and that seems to have solved the issue. I use an external encoder (Cube) but I did some testing with the internal ffmeg encoder and that worked well. It works best if the hardware setting is used as that removes the load from the CPU,. Without it my CPU went to about 55%. Note there is a bug in the latest (368.22) nVidia driver that causes a colour band over the bottom half of the stream. It is referenced here http://forums.vmix.com/d...aspx?g=posts&t=6333.My weak link now is the graphics card. I am waiting on the release of the nVidia 1070 to upgrade. The 1080 is a little pricy for me. I am also trying the CMD Controllers, especially for replay. I have a track meet in June 26-28 as a replay solution. So far I am liking the options it brings as a dedicated Replay unit. If you have any additional question don't hesitate to contact me. Cheers
