Thanks for the post. I was about to update my driver this morning to 368.22 and saw your post and decided to wait a bit.

I upgraded and experienced this bug. I usually use an external encoder but was doing a test so I can have vMix built encoder as a backup. I will rollback the driver and test again. Hopefully that will solve the problem until a driver update is released.

unfortunately, I read this too late and all my streams are multi color with the green lower screen of death. remove hardware encoding and it's back to normal. has anyone opened an official ticket on this yet?

Nvidia are away of this problem in their driver, so I suspect they will fix it in the next update.
Rolling back to the previous driver would be my recommendation.

I just made a teststream on facebook live and the tried ffmpeg hardware encoder.

When I watched the video on facebook, I saw that the bottom half of the video had distortion in it and everything was green.

Has anyone else exerpienced this problem when streaming to facebook live via ffmpeg hardware encoding?

Look if there is an update available for the geforce, or revert back to the previous one.

Driver 368.39
No Change !! The Bug remains.... :(

Nvidia has made some changes on DX12 optimization...
OBS Studio has no bug problem....
Is this really not a vMix bug ?

Cheers,

PFBM

It most certainly is an Nvidia driver bug, see here:

If OBS was working maybe it didnt have NVENC enabled

I've done some further research and may have found a workaround, will post up an update soon.
