Hi

Does anyone know how can one add a livestream from TwitchTV as an input source?

I understand that we can do so for Youtube sources ( http://forums.vmix.com/d....aspx?g=posts&t=3176 )

But can't seem to be able to find an answer for TwitchTV sources

Regards
Eugene

Greetings Eugenesys,

Do you want to livestream to Twitch or add it as an input? Not clear on that.

Assuming you are using vMix 17, Twitch is one of the pre-loaded destinations within vMix streaming. If you want to add a Twitch channel as an input you can do that as a brower URL via "Add Input". The browser input is at the bottom of the list.

Hi GeorgeR

Thanks for taking the time to reply to this post

I am trying to get a twitch feed into vmix

Workflow
Basically. i do esports events. I take game feeds / aaudio / video..etc and push it to a projector or led screen
One of the requirements was to have a 90sec delay between what the gamers play at the event and what is shown on screen ( both gameplay audio video as well as commentary )
I tried using the Video Delay function and it did not come with audio.

I was thinking of playing back a the twitchtv feed i am currently streaming out, to be displayed on display 2 on the projector.
Short of capturing the screen off another computer, i was wondering if there was a way to bring in the twitchtv feed, as an input source into vmix.

I have tried adding twitch as a web browser source but vmix will not display the twitch eed either within the vmix preview screen nor the fullscreen output.
When i click on the "play" button to start the feed, i get the spinning loading wheel and a black screen where the video ought to be.

Eugene,

There are probably several ways to do what you want to do with vMix. Maybe other folks in the forum can kick in with some suggestions too.

Another way you can do this with vMix, use the Desktop Capture app from a second computer or laptop to capture the video feed. You can bring the desktop from computer two into your vMix computer as well as audio. In the Desktop Capture app in computer two, click settings, and set the audio source to loopback.

You'll want play the video you are capturing on the second computer in full screen. And you can easily add the delay you need in the video playback from the second computer.

I just tried this playing back a YouTube video from a second computer into vMix and it worked fantastically.
