Am I correct in my assumption that vMix 17 will not now be getting built in support for NewBlueFX Live Pro as per the feature list announced by Martin some while back?
Albeit some great new features are in V17 - I just didn't see the NewBlue one anywhere, or am I missing something somewhere
TIA, John

If I'm not mistaken, that is what the NDI support was all about. Newblue Titler Pro Live Ultimate is supposed to support NDI, but is yet to be released, and at the price of Advanced, I believe it will be ultimately priced out of range too.
I am using the $99 pro live with Desktop capture of the resized live output window, and quite satisfied with the results.

Correct, that is a 'back door' route using NDI but not what I believe was proposed by Martin originally in his V17 feature set.
As in, I understood that he was working with NewBlueFX to build their 'Live' product's capabilities to work directly within vMix itself.
As I believe Wirecast's software already does and possibly NewTek's Tricaster switcher software (I think).

I believe this topic is around what I write in a post in vMix 17 Preview Released!: "it would be better if we continued Titler related issues in the topic Titler Pro plugin... , where an important 'request must be that vmix be able to actively connect to the titler and control the animations and titles from the switching interface'." I've been in contact with NewBlueFX's support. They have renamed "Titler Live Ultimate" to "Titler Live Broadcast". It is not launched yet, but I got a copy to test. It works, sending to NDI with alpha and picking it up in vMix. Actually the option is "Setting/Device/for NDI (Tricaster, vMix, Wirecast, etc)". But, AFIK there is no control interaction between Titler Live Ultimate and vMix (or other switchers). Furthermore, my very brief test suggest that running vMix, Titler Live Ultimate and sending/receiving via NDI takes pretty much power. So I guess the CG-part typically needs to run on a separate PC.

Thanks Richard - that clears that up once and for all...
Best keep watching out for any NewBlueFX news updates - sounds like they've moved the goalposts!
Be interesting to see how much their 'new' product comes to market for ;-)

NewBlueFX have released Titler Live Broadcast. It includes "Set custom macro commands for easy title control from your TriCaster system", which might open up for similar macros from vMix. Guess the vMix team knows more about that... Priced at $1,499

vMix & NewBlue Titler Advance 2 Hi just adding a few thoughts to what I've tried out with a 2 x PC setup > 1 PC setup with Vmix > 1 PC setup with NewBlue With NewBlue open I chose 1-6 default animations to playout over vMix > Find and select: Settings/Device/HDMI > Find and select: Settings/HDMI Key/Green >> I maximise this HDMI window full screen in another monitor for I have 'dual screen' setup for this NewBlue PC You will need NDI Monitor and NDI Scan Converter which is available in the NDI Tools Pack from NewTek. Link: http://pages.newtek.com/...Tools-Pack-Download.html> Open up NDI Scan Converter. It will display on the bottom right of your taskbar. Right click and select the Desktop that your HDMI source is on. For me it was Desktop 2 > Open up NDI Monitor. Right click in monitor window and choose the desktop that has HDMI outputted to it from NewBlue. For me it was Desktop 2 vMix PC > Add a camera, image etc to playout the NewBlue animation over > Add Input/NDI Desktop Capture You should see NDI Video Monitor and Desktop 2 in my case Double click select whichever source - I choose Desktop 2 > Double click this new source in the panel and go to 'Color Key' and use the eyedropper to select the green background Exit out of this window > Have camera or image source in output window on vMix > Make sure the NewBlue animation is set to go > In vMix select 1 in the NDI source > In NewBlue select in/out to play the animation

NewBlueFX Titler Live Broadcast has native support for NDI which also includes the alpha channel, then you aren't limited with colors you can use in your title. Also each tab you create in the NewBlueFX application will create a new NDI source; you could have up to 16 tabs, with each tab displaying a different title.
