The new Blackmagic card (DeckLink Quad 2) is compatible with vmix?

I can independently use the 8 channels as input / output?

Like the other BM cards, output is independent of your graphics card.

But you still need a powerful graphics card! The rendering is done on the graphics card, a decklink card has no processing on itself.
The frames are copied from the graphics card to the decklink. When there is no sufficient graphics card, there will be no frames to copy either.

Also keep in mind the latency on a decklink output is much higher than the output from the graphics card itself.

Thanks for your answers have been very helpful.

I think using a PC with a DeckLink Quad 2 and a NVidia GTX 750 video card (or similar).
I want to mix 3 or 4 SDI cameras and output the mix over HDMI.

Currently I have:
I7 3770K 3.5 Ghz
16 GB RAM DDR3
256 GB SSD
1 TB 7200 rpm

But I have no motherboard.

PCIe lanes? What should I consider?
