Hi guys,

So basically, is there any difference between the Decklink and AJA output in terms of delay, or is GFX Output always the best for minimal latency?

I'm just not liking the possibility of having programs open on top, as well as the aero preview minimize thing, cursor too. How do you guys go about avoiding this?

Cheers,
Håvard

I'm not sure about the cards. But if you want to keep the mouse cursor off the output screen without having a dedicated video out you can use a program called "Dual Monitor Tools". It has a ton of options, the one I use most being the ability to lock the cursor to a certain screen so there is no chance for it to show up on an output monitor.

The only way to keep latency at minimum is to use graphics card digital outputs :)
many of them have 4 digital outs at the same time. convert them to SDI if you need it ( hdmi do sdi converter )

You can hide the cursor on your full-screen output simply by selecting "hide cursor" in the Display tab of the settings.
If you set "on top" no window can open on top of it.
I do not know what to do about the aero preview minimize thing, I agree that should also be impossible to happen, as I had it happen a few times already.

You can disable aero peek or desktop peek as its called

For windows 10 to completely disable it go to control panel > System Properties > (Performance - Settings) and the visual effects.
In there disable "Enable Peek"

For windows 7 its the same more or less... but http://merabheja.com/how...ktop-peek-in-windows-10/ has instructions for windows 7 and 8 as well.
