The vMix Audio Controlled Switcher is perfect for you who wants to automate the switching between talents in you talkshow / radio stream etc. The way it works is that it takes eighter the channels of one input or a list of inputs and listens to them while using them with vMix, then, if a volume threshold for the spesified input/channel is reached, it automaticly switches. Buy this product HEREEasternshorebroadcasting will make a demo soon

Neat plugin! We use audio from the mixer most of the times, but if we would ever use the camera's mic input this looks really the way to go!
Would it be difficult to adapt this, so it can take peak volumes and switch to a beat? We do mainly electronic music with slash9.tv and i'm looking for a long time already for something that helps us mix exactly on the beat by detecting the kickdrums.

@ Sondrey This looks pretty cool! Not sure if I have an immediate use for it, but certainly goes a long way at answering ngp31's request for 'Automated Camera Switching': http://forums.vmix.com.a....aspx?g=posts&t=3566Your video displays the GUI in action, but doesn't actually show a practical demonstration of it switching cameras in vMix. You may get more traction if you are able to clearly DEMO the 'Automation' advantages this 'plug-in' provides for one-man crew operations. It certainly looks promising. Ice

Much better demo, thanks! I just wished you had started by demoing the result (something like you do about 4 minutes into the demo).
Imagine, "loook no hands" (and showing your smiling faces, hands in the air, while vMix is switching back and forth).
And perhaps add an Input with a screen dump from the Njastad shopping page, trigger your switcher to use that Input for Overview when 2 people are talking, and end the show by both of you speaking out loud (still smiling) "See you at our purchasing department". (But you still have to explain the Overview function before that ending).
Cool to see you guys - and you are amazing in creating cool and useful stuff.

Hey Sondrey I just Skyped you and noticed the product isn't on your site anymore. Is there a new version going to be released or is it no longer available. It looks really promising from the video I watched on Youtube. :)

Sondre has enlisted our help in distributing this highly acclaimed vMix plugin to the world!
For now it has been added to our online store at Eastern Shore Broadcasting.
Watch for an in-depth review coming soon!

WOW I just found this feature is built-in to vMix but it doesn't seem to be advertised anywhere?
If you click on the COG then click "triggers" there are options called OnAudioMeterDB which allows you create triggers for when someone talks.
It will then switch the camera to the input you have selected. In fact, it looks like you can do anything when audio is present on a mic.

WOW Yes you are right, I have just been trying that out and it really does work and I couldnt find anything regarding Audio triggers just OnTransitionIn, OnTransitionOut, OnOverlayIn, OnOverlayOut and OnCompletion but there are three new ones OnAudioMeterDB6, DB12 and DB18. This needs to be added to the help pages. Great find mashynewie2.

There is no reason it should not work with older versions of vMix, as long as the supprt the Web API (I think all versions does) and supports the wanted input (if you need ASIO)

Hi Sondrey,
A lovely bit of software.
Am having trouble using triggers, playing video files and turning your plugin on/off.
My users will click the wrong button everytime - thus cannot go near anything that not idiot proofed. Asking them to enable / disable the plugin is not an option.
The problem:
When i start a VT and its triggers - vMIx Audio Controlled Switcher just takes over cutting the video file playing - switching back to the talent on set because they spoke (off air). When running VT's on a layer we loose the remaining countdown display of the VT's provided by vmix, it doesn't display countdowns video files playing on layers. Tried running a second copy of vMix on the same machine to then NDI between them but no NDI between 2 vMix's running on the same machine.
Questions: How to enable enable/disable via vmix scripting? (i.e. call a local url?) How to set which layer to switch on rather than the base layer? How to change the port from 8088 to another port? Are there any unreported functions that can be edited in a saved acsd file?
Is there a whole other better way to approach this?
Cheers, Danny

Digging up an old thread I know, but Audio Controlled Switcher for vMix seems to have disappeared. It was better than the built in VMix trigger because it had silence trigger and also multiple person trigger which is needed in a studio.
What are the options now. ACS also only worked on WDM sources so it depended on the ASIO link pro which is also now a defunct project.
Are there any plans to beef up audio triggers in vmix?
