Frame grabber capture device

I am very impressed with the software but it is lacking a significant feature.
Adding a frame grabber as a capture device would enable the software to use the VGA out from another computer. Unfortunately, the capture settings are all video based. We need a set of VGA capture resolutions.
For example, the Epiphan vga2usb is a great device for capturing a VGA signal off of a pc. We see this in business presentations where a pc is displaying a PowerPoint on a projector. If we had support for VGA frame grabbers then Vmix would be ideal for the business presentation market.
We can not use the remote desktop as the pcs running the ppt are not ours and seldom are on the network.
I added it but I get an error message. The software starts using the frame grabber but is unstable.
This is a significant feature that would benefit anyone mixing live video with slides. It would be better than a ppt load because we could see animations. And it would work on a pc with ppt or a Mac with keynote.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Ray,
What resolutions do you want added? Is adding XGA (1024x768) and SXGA (1280x1024) enough?
If so these will be in the next release (v5) due very soon.
Regards,

Martin.
Thank you for the prompt reply.
Most VGA monitors used in presentations are square pixel but there are some 16:9 sneaking in. For now, I would address the square pixel and take a wait and see on the 16:9 but maybe some other people can comment on that feature.
I would suggest: 800 x 600 1024 x 768 1280 x 1024
I added the 800 x 600 because there are still a lot of older projectors that can only do this resolution.

Hey Ray just a heads up most projectors today are already fully stock with 16:9 Res. So i would really suggest we just go modern and add all res 800 x 600 / 1024 x 768 / 1280 x 720 / 1280 x 1024 / 1366 x 768 / 1440 x 900 / 1920 x 1080 etc.
