We're trying to build one of our editing pc's into a vmix rig, because we have a double gig soon. I already formatted the pc, and installed the capture cards, but always one card won't show up..

The pc is built with these components:

x99s xpower ac motherboard
16 gb ram
xeon e5 2660 V3 processor
GTX 950 graphical card

The motherboard has 6 pcie slots:

5 of them are x16, one is a m.2 slot.

In the upper one i put the graphical card, and I wanted to use the 5 others (including m.2 slot) to put a decklink mini recorder into them.

It's very strange, but in whatever order i move the cards, i can only see 4 decklinks at any time.

GPU in slot 7 and decklink cards in the others, or GPU in slot 1 and moving the decklinks to the other slots: no difference at all.

When i go into the bios, MSI built in a board explorer: it shows which devices are connected to which slots. This explorer always tells me the m.2 slot is empty, even when a card has been inserted.
I have no idea what to do, off course we can do the gig with 4 camera's, but it would be better to do it with 5 :)

Anyone experienced with this problem?

Why not use a multi channel capture card in a single slot?

Because we don't have any available.. Would be stupid to buy a 1000$ card now, if we have so many single ones on the shelve.

Found out the problem: MSI disabled one slot if all others are filled up. Off course not mentioned in any manual, had to call support to hear it. So yeah, we bought a decklink quad, problem solved :)
