Would it be possible to change the way the auto mix works, perhaps as an option in settings?

Say I have studio mic inputs. I want these to auto mix between shots so that they are automatically muted when I play a video clip, for example.

If I add a Skype call, I also want that to mute automatically when I switch to a video clip. However, I also want to be able to manually mute the Skype caller, because while he waiting for his slot in the programme, he's probably making a lot of noise, shuffling papers, typing etc.

The way vMix works now, if I mute my Skype caller, and also have the Skype caller auto mixed, the Skype caller is automatically unmuted when I switch studio shots, probably at the exact time he's doing something particularly noisy.

So at present I have Skype calls set to not auto mix, which is ok but not ideal. I'd prefer auto mix to operate as it does now when audio channels are unmuted, but for auto mix to respect my decision to mute the input.
