Please add support for the following HD cameras through firewire: JVC GY-HD100 with a resolution of 1280x736 and Canon HV-20 with a resolution of 1440x1080.
They both work in VLC, VMix however rejects them with a AddNewInput.INPUT_CAPTURE filter combination error.
I know the workaround is to set the cameras to SD 720x576... but I'd rather use their HD capabilities.
Thanks, Martin

I have successfully used firewire HDV from a Sony HDR-HC3 with vMix. The standard HDV format is 1440x1080 for 1080i input. It has been a few years, but I believe I captured the footage using a standard 1920x1080 x 59.94i setting.

@Kelvin, We are using a Sony HDR-FX1 and are not having success with HDV works fine with DV. How were you able to get the HDV output? Thanks in advance.

martin909, We have a couple of the JVC GY HD1xx cameras. They do not deliver HDV 1080, from the manual: "There are two types of recording formats within HDV format. HDV 720p (720 effective scan lines, progressive scan) HDV 1080i (1080 effective scan lines, interlaced scan). This camcorder supports HDV 720p format. (HDV 720p, 480p, 576p)."
As a matter of fact, the sensor is approx 1.1 megapixels, so...
Furthermore, Firewire is kind of outphased. And to my best knowledge it is not up to vMix to support different resolutions, rather it is handled by the firewire device driver. We gave it up years ago, too much latency and difficult to connect multiple Firewire ports to the PC.
My suggestion, based on what we used to do with these cameras, is to convert the component output to HDMI or SDI, and then into vMix. There are many inexpensive converters on the market.
Just my thoughts...

JVC GY-HD100 has no hdmi output. vmix should support hdv 720P . hdv is outdated but there are still many old working cameras out there. even with the delay limitation it works ! i have a 25 meters firewire cable with no problems ! or use this : http://www.synchrotech.c...n-cat5-repeater-400.htmlCheers, PFBM
