Scarlett 18i20 ASIO stutters after adding HDMI

Hello,
Testing out VMIX before my purchase, and I am having a small issue. I am using VMIX to bring in Audio using the Scarlet 18i20 ASIO drivers. This works perfect and I can bring in all of my sources. Audio sounds amazing. Problems start after I add in my first HDMI capture source with Audio.
As soon as I do the ASIO audio feed from the Scarlet begins to skip. Any ideas how to fix this? My first thought is it may be caused by latency and I need to adjust the latency on whether the Scarlet or in VMix.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try to adjust/increase the buffers on the Scarlet.

and make sure the sampling rate is the same for all audio devices, eg 48 kHz

I did ensure that my audio sample rate was the same. I did not increase my buffer on the scarlet so I will try that.
If I increase the buffer on the scarlet will I be introducing latency and have to modify anything else to keep everything relatively in sync?
One other question just from a workflow process do you guys access the analog inputs directly from VMix or do you prefer to load in the ADAT feed and handle the audio mix from within the Scarlet?
Thanks for your help!

Increasing buffers = more latency. But normally the audio latency will be less than the video latency. But for now just test if increasing the buffers will solve your problem.
I prefer to mix the audio outside of vMix.

Thanks!
Question how are you mixing the Audio before VMIx? I was thinking about taking my Audio then using something like adobe audition, but how would I feed it back into VMix? Using the scarlet would I send it back to an out put then run another cable from the output on the scarlett back to my machine for Vmix to pick it up?

I really don't know enough about your audio setup and sources to answer this question. In my setups all external audio sources like microphones or players are mixed together and then send to vMix via audio interface. All audio sources inside vMix like video files or music clips are mixed in vMix.
