Hi,

I'm using the RTSP streams from different IP camera's, but every N minutes they just turn black.
The camera is still responding and I have to manually setup the new link with the camera again (reassigning the RTSP stream).

I could only find 1 similar issue: http://forums.vmix.com/d....aspx?g=posts&t=2793 - but it has no replies at all :(
The troubleshooting guide told me to look in C:\Program Files (x86)\vMix\streaming, but there are no log files.

Sometimes vMix shows a "Connection Error" in the input window.

Any idea what might be causing this and how I can prevent this from happening? Can vMix detect a connection drop somehow and re-establish it? (I'd assume it would do this automatically anyway)
Other tips / ideas are welcome.

Please help me out, the event starts tonight :)

I never beileved in magic, but now I do. After doing nothing the camera's suddenly became 'stable'. Later only 2 had issues and I replaced a switch. Now all is running fine.

Nonetheless I think it would be nice if vMix had an option to to have it try to reconnect to RTSP periodically (e.g. every 1 minute) so the downtime would be minimal.

Hi,

Do you have the latest version of vMix installed? (16?)
Since the past couple of releases, if no video is received for 5 seconds it will display the red error bar and automatically reconnect.

Regards,

Martin

Hi,

I assume I have the latest version since I've downloaded it last week. I'm on version 16.0.0.112.

But after replacing some hardware everything is workinf fine now. It would be nice if there was a setting to enable automatic reconnection if it encounters a connection error, perhaps configurable with a reconnection interval in minutes or seconds.
