Problem with old Instant Replay

We have been using the original Instant Replay as part of our live sports streaming for over 40+ successful live webcasts over the past 2 seasons. We have 2 video delay modules (we stream at 720p) and they feed a list for playback via Stinger. All accomplished via keyboard shortcuts.
This year, during our first broadcast, we noticed that when we saved the live replay for either input, the live video output will stutter. Making matters worse, the saved replay clips stutter as well when played back. I should note that these issues were only discovered when reviewing our broadcast (on YouTube where it was streamed to) after the live event was over. The replays played back fine locally during the production.
CPU usage (According to vMix) stays below 15% when saving or replaying the clips.
Not sure where I can start on trying to solve this. Hoping someone might be able to offer some insight into what is happening.

What did your local vMix recording look like, stuttering or no stuttering?

@ fingerlakes1
So only YouTube recording exhibited a 'stutter' and only during "Video Delay" saved clips playback, or are there other instances? Do you playback "Video Delay" live, i.e. the 'Input' itself or just the saved playlist clips? Any feedback from viewers watching 'Live' as to a 'stutter' during the broadcast?
On the surface, it suggests to me an 'encoding' or 'streaming' issue when various resources are tapped on your PC, but that is difficult to narrow down without knowing more about the answers to the above questions and your computer specs.

Thanks for the replies... Yes, this problem was reported by viewers of the live stream on YouTube and confirmed by myself when viewing the on-demand YouTube version after the live event. We do not playback video delay inputs live, we save clips which populate playlist. The playlist items are used to show the replays in our live broadcast. In fact the video delay inputs are never even touched. The clips are triggered to save via keyboard shortcut, a second shortcut to navigate through the list items, another shortcut to load the selected clip to preview, and finally the stinger shortcut which triggers the preview clip into output. We have the list items playing at 75% speed. There has been only one change from last season to this season... Last year the 2 video delay inputs were from a Magewell HDMI-USB (720p) and an Osprey 260e component (480p). This season the Osprey is replaced by Decklink Mini-Recorder at 720p. The Blackmagic card was installed on the machine last season but wasn't in use. Now we run a Canon G20 HDMI out to Avue converter to SDI and run from there into the Decklink Mini Recorder. The issue occurs no matter which video delay input is triggered for the save. And the stuttering occurs on all clips when replayed no matter which input they were captured from. The PC is a i7 in a Shuttle case. Has performed admirably for all our remote applications. During all the processes I am describing, cpu usage doesn't rise out of the teens. You can see the phenomenon here: ?t=1h35m20s Shortly after the blocked shot the vMix operator triggered the shortcut to save the clip. You can see how the live output was affected with the stuttering. Also here after a replay is saved of this drive... ?t=2h14m And here is a look at what the replays look like: ?t=2h14m44s Thanks again for your help.

It looks like a R/W issue onto your hard drive. Are you saving onto a separate drive (preferably an SSD) or to the C: drive. If the latter is that drive an SSD or fixed disk? I have seen similar behaviour when a single drive is overtaxed.
Nice production BTW. :-)

it is writing to the same drive on C:, it is a 1-and-a-half year old SSD. That does make sense but surprised that this was not an issue last season but has reared it's head in our opening broadcasts for this season. Perhaps I should see if we can install a second SSD on the machine. If we do that I might be tempted to give the new replay system a shot but I have always been quite satisfied with the original system. We capture our game highlights (with audio) after the fact back in the studio with vMix.
Thank you for the note on the production! We put a lot into IT which is why the stuttering replays are frustrating.

Fingerlakes, question for you. I use the Video Delay function for instant replay as it was very easy and effective for us. Have you found that the video play back speed can not be adjusted if you stop the recording, move it live and play it? If we save a clip of the Video Delay, then the playback speed of the saved clip can be adjusted with no issues.
It seems that the speed of the playback is the speed set before the recording is started, then once you stop the recording you can not change the speed. In many cases we did not have a need to save the clip, but merely pause the delayed-video recording, play it again in live-view, then switch back to the live camera and start recording again. And just repeat that over and over, unless it is an awesome play that we would want to show again later or review later for what ever reason.
Have you had any of the speed playback issues like this? I don't recall this occuring in v15.
