We would like to customise the webinterface to some kind of whitebranded
interface with 4 or 5 big simple buttons.

Is this possible?

Yes, I have done it with 3 buttons :)

I'll send you some code.

It's written in Javascript + HTML. Works from iPad/iPhone etc..
