I have always used vMix for live streaming and now that I am doing a new VMix setup at church I am finding it a little more challenging.
Quick overview of what I am doing. We are using vMix to manage all the media (cameras, videos, and powerpoints) that is going on the projector screens (we have 2 in the front and 1 in the rear). Most churches use a software similar to SongShow Plus for displaying the lyrics to words of the songs on the screen. We just turn the FULLSCREEN option off to allow SongShow Plus to now display the lyrics on the projectors. When we are ready to go back to cameras or MP4 videos, etc, we will just turn the FULLScreen back on and vMix will now take back over the projector control.
My delima is controlling the "In-house" TV system. I noticed in the shortcuts you can create a shortcut to specify which input is going to EXTERNAL2 but the ChurchHD does not have EXTERNAL2, just one Extenal output option. On our old system, the camera operator would switch back and forth between the lyrics and camera shot for the In-house TV system. How do any other HOW users do this? I don't know if Martin could just add the primary EXTERNAL option in the list of shortcuts or if there is another way. I wanted to create a shortcut (i.e. F11 and F12 so that those shortcuts would change the Input that is assigned to EXTERNAL. We will probably use the same thing for Streaming the service. That way if you have a speaker who wants power points up on the projector the whole time, or if there is alot of singing, the person watching either In-house or the Live-Stream is not sitting there watching a bunch of slides :)
I added to another post yesterday about outputting SD video+audio. I just hooked up a Blackmagic Shuttle and that took care of the problem. It was in a drawer and unused.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Tim

I solved this problem using the SetMultiViewOverlay shortcut function. It works perfectly. Just wanted to let folks know in case someone else ever has the same problem. Martin has vMix so that you can just about do anything you want if you are just willing to play around a little and experiment :) File Attachment(s): 2015-12-05.png (3,627kb) downloaded 26 time(s). 2015-12-05 (1).png (3,528kb) downloaded 19 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. The solution was to not try and change the input but rather use overlays on the input. Now I have a shortcut for each input (cams and DVD) so that a short cut key will be pressed to change the overlay on the input being used for External. No fancy "fades" for transitions but it works.
